Color combinations don’t get much better than this!  I honestly thought I was going to paint a more abstracted version of these vessels, but as I began in my studio, I studied the intricate detail more closely.  I found that I wanted to celebrate their beauty with more brush strokes, rather than less.  And isn’t that true of life?  Sometimes when we focus in a little more closely, we don’t see flaws, but rather more beauty, more depth -- the things that are timeless and oh so lovely, like the classics…

 like blue and white.
